Inside our AI credit pricing — and why we show you the math
Every AI action in WUWI Sites has a real compute cost behind it. Drafting a whole site from a description sends far more context to the model than tightening one paragraph does, and the bill we pay reflects that. Rather than hiding the difference inside a flat monthly price, we meter it: generating a full site costs 8 credits, regenerating a single section costs 2, and small copy edits are free and unmetered.
Why credits instead of a bigger plan
A flat plan has to be priced for the heaviest user, which means everyone else overpays. Credits let the monthly plan stay what it actually is — hosting, publishing, the builder — while generation is paid for by the people who use it. Pro includes 200 credits a month and Business includes 600, which covers a normal month of building comfortably. Top-ups are $5 per 100 credits, and unused credits roll over for 90 days.
How the numbers are set
Each action's credit cost is modeled off what that action really costs us in model usage, priced to hold a healthy margin rather than an arbitrary markup. When the underlying models get cheaper, the credit costs come down with them. We'd rather earn on volume than on confusion.
Manual edits will always be free. The builder is the product; AI is the accelerator you reach for when it saves you time.
