Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026 · Draft for this design round — pending real legal review before publish.
Overview
This policy explains what information WUWI Sites collects when you use our website builder, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We built WUWI Sites on the idea that your content belongs to you — the same principle applies to your data.
This policy covers the WUWI Sites builder application (the dashboard, editor, and your account). It does not cover the content of sites you publish with WUWI Sites — you control what data your own published sites collect from your visitors, and you're responsible for your own site's privacy disclosures to them.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and a smaller set of information collected automatically:
- Account information — name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we store your plan, billing history, and AI-credit usage, not your raw card number.
- Site content — the pages, text, images, and settings you create in the builder.
- Usage data — basic product analytics (pages visited in the dashboard, features used) to help us improve the builder.
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically for security and debugging.
How we use it
We use the information above to provide and improve the service: operating your account, hosting and publishing your sites, processing billing, responding to support requests, and understanding how the product is used so we can build the right things next. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update most account information directly from your dashboard settings, export your site content at any time, and request full account deletion from Settings — deleting your account removes your personal information from our systems except where we're required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.
Data retention
We retain your account and site data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a site or your account, we remove the associated content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we treat protecting your data as a core part of the product, not an afterthought.
Children's privacy
WUWI Sites is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or through the dashboard before they take effect.
